Kidnapping: Unconscious Jeevesh could not be interrogated
Jeevesh Kumar, husband of sitting corporator-cum-candidate Rupam Kumari, was recovered from Hajipur. After 56 hours, Jeevesh was found unconscious near a medicine shop located on Hajipur Station Road. When Jeevesh sought help by calling his wife from his own mobile, the police of Hajipur and Sadar police station reached the spot in a hurry. Mobile was also recovered from them. There are cuts and bruises on his leg and many parts of his body. Jeevesh is currently undergoing treatment in emergency in Sadar Hospital under police custody. Police say that only after recording the statement under Section 164 in the court, the curtain will be raised from Jeevesh’s kidnapping case. The police will present Jeevesh in the court only after he becomes normal. City DSP Raghav Dayal told that Jeevesh Kumar is unwell. Jeevesh will be handed over to the family members only after the statement of section 164. Before this the police will also record the statement under section 161.
Robbery: along with jewelery and money, election papers were also taken away
Armed criminals looted the house of Ward 10 councilor candidate Santosh Kumar alias Pachu in a suspicious manner on Wednesday late night.
