After finding dengue patients in the district, the health department has further intensified its preparations. The 2 new dengue patients found are residents of Mushari block area. After finding dengue cases, the health department has reserved beds in a separate ward for the patient as part of its preparations.

For this, 10 beds have been reserved in Sadar Hospital and 40 beds in SKMCH Medical College. Along with this, 2 beds have been reserved at CHC and PHC level. All CHCs and PHCs have been instructed to make special arrangements for dengue patients. Let us tell you that among the patients found so far, 22 cases have come from urban areas while 8 cases have come from rural areas.

On finding 2 new dengue patients the health department has issued an alert to all hospitals. Whereas 4 days before this 3 new cases were found. Instructions have been given to make special arrangements for these suspected dengue patients. Along with this instructions have also been given to spray anti-larva and Temiphors medicine in the affected area. In the case ACMO cum Nodal Officer Vector Incharge Dr Satish Kumar told that right now most of the cases have come from urban areas. Now the new cases have come from rural areas. After which the Municipal Corporation area and Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats have been asked to get fogging done at the marked places in the dengue hot spot area.

Appeal to protect against dengue

The health department has geared up to deal with the rising cases of dengue. Additional Chief Medical Officer cum Vector Borne Disease Control Officer Dr Satish Kumar said that fogging is being done at the affected places in Muzaffarpur district to prevent dengue. Fogging has been done in the areas of the district where dengue patients were found. So far this year, 32 dengue patients have been found in the district. Regarding dengue, the health department has instructed all districts to send area-wise reports of dengue patients found every day.
