Preeti of Muzaffarpur has raised the name of not only the family but the entire state. Preeti has won the gold medal in the national level rugby game held in Bhubaneswar. Preeti, a student who reached a small village after winning the gold medal, also gives credit for her success to her laborer father. Preeti told that even after the financial condition was bad, her disabled father always encouraged her. Mother is a housewife and besides handling the household work, she takes care of her other two siblings. Like every day, the father goes to work and comes home in the evening. He participated in the Ranji National School Football Sports Competition. Preeti won the gold medal in this.

Preeti is a student of class 9th of Higher Secondary School, Sakri Saraiya of Kudhani block of Muzaffarpur district. Taking out time from studies, she plays rugby in the village and the school teachers fully support her in this. Honored by the school family for winning the gold medal in the National Rugby School. School headmaster Veerprakash Thakur also honored him and also promised to pay full expenses for sports and studies till class 12th.
