Naidu is going to become the CM of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. He first held the post of Chief Minister in 1995. He served as Chief Minister for two terms from 1995 to 2004. After this, when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were divided into two parts in 2014, he became the CM of Andhra Pradesh for the third time. He ran the government from 2014 to 2019.

Chandrababu Naidu was born on 20 April 1950 in Naravaripalli in the undivided Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. He started his four-decade-long political career from Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati. Later he joined the Congress party and rose to the position of cabinet minister.

However, he later joined the TDP, which was founded by his late father-in-law and famous actor N T Rama Rao. In the late 90s, Naidu played a key role in forming the central government. The first NDA government formed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee was supported from outside by the TDP.
