In Nalanda, Bihar, miscreants shot and injured an RMP doctor on Thursday evening. The matter is of Akbarpur village of Hilsa police station area. The injured has been identified as Deepak Kumar, resident of Akbarpur village. Deepak was hit by three bullets.

According to the information, Deepak received a call from an unknown number on Thursday evening. He was called to Kurmiyan Bigha to see the patient. Deepak picked up his bag and started moving towards Kurmiya Bigha. Then the miscreants ambushed him and opened fire near the high school of Akbarpur village, due to which he got seriously injured and fell there. Hearing the sound of bullets, people nearby ran, by then the miscreants had fled from the spot. After this, Deepak was hurriedly admitted to Hilsa Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. From where, after first aid, he was referred to Patna PMCH in view of his serious condition.

Hilsa police station incharge Abhijeet Kumar said that after getting information about the incident, the police immediately reached the spot, by then the doctors had referred the injured to a higher centre. The police is trying to take the statement of the injured doctor. At the same time, there is suspense on the reasons for the incident.
