A middle-aged man burnt in a fire in Nalanda, Bihar, died on Saturday during treatment. The matter is of Oli Bigha village of Chandi police station area. The deceased has been identified as Ayodhya Prasad (59), son of late Lalu Prasad, resident of Oli Bigha village. According to the information, elderly Ayodhya Prasad was pushed by miscreants after setting straw on fire, due to which he got badly burnt.

Regarding the incident, the deceased’s younger brother Shankar Prasad told that about one and a half months ago, his brother Ayodhya Prasad had purchased 22 kattha land from a resident of Lohta village of Fatuha police station area of ​​Patna district. This was opposed by Shambhu Mahato, Ravindra Mahato, Vilas Mahato and Bindi Mahato, residents of neighboring village Harpur. The said people were forcing his brother to leave the land.

He further told that on the day of the first Argh of Chaiti Chhath, Ayodhya Prasad was returning home after meeting his family in Teeka Bigha village. Then the miscreants ambushed them from the east in Harpur, caught them and pushed them by setting fire to wheat straw. When the elders got burnt by the fire and started screaming, all the miscreants fled from the spot. After that he was admitted to Chandi Referral Hospital for treatment. From where he was referred to a higher center in view of his critical condition. He died during treatment after one and a half months.

Here, Chandi Police Station President Ravindra Kumar told that in a land dispute, a middle-aged man was pushed into the burning straw one and a half months ago. Due to that he got seriously burnt. A total of four people were accused in this case and a case was registered. The main accused has been arrested and sent to jail. Police have started raiding to arrest the other three accused. After confirming the death, the police took the body into custody, conducted post-mortem and handed it over to the family members. At present the police has started taking further action.
