Miscreants shot and injured a journalist in Nalanda on Sunday evening. The matter pertains to the border area of Nalanda and Deepnagar police station area. The injured is Deepak Vishwakarma, a resident of Dhaneshwar Ghat of Laheri police station area. Deepak Vishwakarma was hurriedly admitted to a private clinic. From here he was referred to Sadar Hospital. After first aid, he was referred to a higher center from Sadar Hospital in view of his serious condition.
Regarding the incident, it is said that Deepak Vishwakarma was returning home with his wife from Rajgir on a bike. Meanwhile, miscreants shot at the border of Nalanda police station and Deepnagar police station area. Deepak Vishwakarma’s wife Ragni Vishwakarma told that while returning, suddenly there was a loud noise on the Rajgir Bihar Sharif main road and both of us, husband and wife, fell into a pit on the roadside. Local people admitted him to the hospital in a blood soaked condition.
At present there is suspense over the reasons for the incident. Who shot and why has not been known. Anger is being seen among the journalists of the district after the incident. The bullet hit near the neck and got stuck in the chest.
After getting information about the incident, SP Ashok Mishra reached the Sadar site, where he said that the police has started investigating the entire incident. A shell casing has been recovered from the spot. Police have started collecting nearby CCTV footage and technical research. Due to being in injured condition, the victims are not able to say anything.
