Namrata Shirodkar: Bollywood actress Namrata Shirodkar had said goodbye to the world of acting forever after marrying Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Not only in Bollywood, Namrata has also worked in Hollywood. She played the role of Aishwarya Rai’s sister in Bride and Prejudice. The actress was also in talks with Gurinder Chadha for Mistress of Spices, but things did not work out. At the time of Bride and Prejudice, Namrata had revealed that she was being offered a lot of bold roles.
Namrata had revealed in an interview that she was being offered many bold roles but she had refused to do them. Namrata had revealed that she was uncomfortable doing such scenes, hence she refused to do it.

Namrata had said in a conversation with Rediff in 2004 – I am not comfortable doing such things. I will not do kissing or love making scenes on screen. I am not desperate. Thank God I come from a secure background. Namrata had also limited her regular roles at that time. He had said- ‘I received many offers, but I refused most of them. I am making a conscious effort to ensure that my acting ability is reflected in every project I do. I would like to do only one film a year. If you look at my career graph, you will see that I have never done more than two films in a year. So why now?’
