The court of Special Judge (Gangster Act) Yuzvendra Vikram Singh cancelled the non-bailable warrant issued against Congress state president Ajay Rai in the Gangster Act case registered at Chetganj police station. In this case, a non-bailable warrant was issued against Ajay Rai on 13 September 2024.

The state Congress president and another person appeared in court on Thursday. An appeal was made on their behalf to cancel the warrant issued. In the court, it was argued on behalf of Ajay Rai that a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to cancel the charge sheet of this case. Hearing on that petition is pending.

On the last date of the case, Ajay Rai did not appear in person but appeared through his lawyer. The court accepted Ajay Rai’s plea and cancelled the non-bailable warrant issued against him and fixed September 21 as the next date of hearing.
