Nearly 14 Lakh Applications Received For Second Edition CUET UG Up 41 Percent From Last Year UGC Chairman


CUET-UG: About 14 lakh students have registered for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2023) this year. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has informed that around 14 lakh applications were received for the second edition of CUET-UG, which is 41 per cent more than last year. Delhi University received the maximum number of CUET-UG applications after BHU and Allahabad University. He has said that maximum applications for CUET-UG have been received from Uttar Pradesh. After UP, maximum number of applications have been received from the students of Delhi and Bihar.

This year the Under Graduate University Test will be conducted from 21 to 31 May 2023. City slip for this exam will be issued on 30th April. CUET UG will be conducted in 13 languages- Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The National Testing Agency has identified around 1,000 test centers in the country, where a large number of test centers will be used for the exam each day. This exam is organized at the national level for admission to Central Universities and other participating universities across the country.

12.50 lakh students had registered in 2022

Let us tell you that in the year 2022, 12.50 lakh students registered for UGC’s CUET-UG, and 9.9 lakh students submitted their applications. A total of 16.85 lakh students have registered for CUET-UG 2023.
