The Junior Doctors Network (JDN) of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has demanded a CBI inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in the NEET 2024 exam. They say that the exam should be fair and transparent. They have also appealed for a re-examination so that all students get equal opportunity. Doctors say that the results of the exam were declared suddenly and quickly, and the cut-off has also increased drastically. A proper investigation of these issues is necessary so that justice can be done to the students.

Declaring the result before time
NEET 2024 results were declared prematurely, when the media was busy with the election results. Seeing this, many people wondered why the exam results were released so early and suddenly. Usually, it takes time to declare the exam results so that all the answer sheets can be checked properly. But this time the results were declared suddenly and in a hurry. This has created anxiety and doubt among the students and their families whether there was any rigging in the exam. Therefore, it is very important to know the reason for this haste.
Increase in cut-off
This year, the NEET 2024 cut-off has suddenly increased by a lot. The All India Rank (AIR) of students who have scored the same marks has increased by three to four times from last year. This change is so huge that students and their families are worried. This year’s results seem very different and strange compared to last year. This is making students suspect that there is some irregularity in the exam. Therefore, it is very important to know the reason for this increase in the cut-off and investigate it.
We want an investigation to be done
Dr. K. M. Abul Hasan, President of IMA Junior Doctors Network, said, “We want the CBI to investigate the irregularities in NEET 2024. The exam should be fair and transparent for all students. This is what maintains the credibility of India’s education system.” IMA JDN hopes that their appeal will be taken seriously and all necessary steps will be taken so that the examination process can be honest and clean.
