NEET 2024 Hearing Today in Supreme Court dsssb 2021 exam was also canceled by SC know details

NEET 2024 Hearing Today In Supreme Court: The Supreme Court will hear the petitions filed in the NEET UG case again today. The process is going to start shortly. Meanwhile, the mention of a recruitment exam of DSSSB is also gaining momentum. People are remembering an old case in which the Supreme Court had given the decision to cancel the exam. This decision also made headlines because it came against the order of the High Court. While the High Court refused to cancel the exam, the Supreme Court gave the decision to cancel the exam.

what was the matter

If we go to the root of this matter, in the year 2009, DSSSB issued an advertisement and announced recruitment for 231 head clerk posts. Around 62 thousand candidates had applied for this and around 61 thousand were found eligible.

The results of the Tier 1 exam were declared on 21 October 2014 and a total of 2415 candidates were shortlisted. The Tier 2 exam was held on 29 March 2015 and the results were declared on 15 July 2015. On 22 August 2015, there were complaints of serious irregularities in the exam and the CM office ordered an inquiry.

Some candidates made this complaint

The Deputy CM had ordered the cancellation of the exam at that time. Then 6 candidates approached the Central Administrative Tribunal and said that the candidates who had not cleared the exam were trying to cancel the exam. In 2017, the tribunal cancelled the order of the Deputy CM.

The High Court upheld the decision

After this, DSSSB and GNCTD got a chance to file a petition in the Supreme Court. In its decision, the Delhi High Court agreed with the decision of the tribunal and said that the decision of not cancelling the examination was correct.

Supreme Court gave its verdict

After hearing the entire matter, the Supreme Court found serious irregularities and cancelled the exam. The court said that the candidates should not lose faith in the exam. Some of the things that came to light in this exam were selection of many candidates from the same zone, the entire process taking five years, admit cards being issued only through electronic medium, very few candidates being selected compared to the applications. Considering all these points, the Supreme Court had given the decision to cancel the DSSSB Head Clerk exam in the year 2021.

It remains to be seen what decision the Supreme Court takes in the NEET case. The case mentioned above was of 63 thousand candidates and 24 lakh candidates are participating in NEET. Along with this, if the decision is not taken soon, the counseling process will also be affected.
