The High Court has dismissed the petition of Aayushi Patel, who complained of alleged rigging in NEET UG-2024, after her documents were found to be fake. Along with this, the High Court has also given the National Testing Agency (NTA) the freedom to take appropriate action in the matter.

The summer vacation single bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan gave this order on the petition of local candidate Ayushi Patel. The petitioner had requested the Central Government to issue instructions to conduct an inquiry against NTA regarding the alleged rigging in the case.

During the hearing on Tuesday, when the NTA counsel presented the petitioner’s record on the earlier order, it was found that the documents filed with the petition were fake. The registration number of the application which the petitioner was claiming to be hers was also wrong. On this, the petitioner’s counsel sought permission from the court not to press the petition. After this, the court said that the petition was filed by submitting fake documents, hence the authorities cannot be stopped from taking legal action in the matter. With this comment, the court dismissed the petition.

On the other hand, the senior advocate of the central government said that there was no rigging in NEET-2024. The petitioner himself was falsely claiming that there was rigging. He told that the court also rejected another petition filed in the same case on the basis of the petitioner not insisting. Also, NTA has been given the freedom to take appropriate action in the matter.
