NEET PG Exam 2024 Centers 1000 Km Away Spark Outrage Students Demand Single Shift Exams In Home States

Admission Process: For the last several days, the troubles related to the examinations are not reducing. Earlier, NTA was under fire after the release of NEET UG 2024 score card. Students were creating ruckus and after that the agency got another shock. UGC NET exam was cancelled by the Education Ministry. The reason behind this was said to be paper leak on the dark web. Now students have started cornering NBE regarding NEET PG as well.

Actually, NEET PG 2024 exam was to be held recently but the exam was postponed by NBE a night before the exam. Now the exam is to be held on 11th August. But students say that inconvenient exam centers are being allotted by NBE. Protests against this are also being seen on social media.

Candidates who have registered for the exam say that they will have to travel thousands of kilometers to take the exam. Due to which they will have to face a lot of problems. They will have to face everything from commuting to financial problems. Lakhs of candidates have applied for the NEET PG exam.

Students put forward their problems

A student, Francis, has mentioned his problem on the social media platform X. Francis said that to take the NEET PG exam, he will have to travel from Pathanamthitta to Visakhapatnam. The biggest problem is that he will get to know about the exam center only two days in advance. In a city where it takes two hours to travel from one end to the other, this is a big challenge for him. Francis also said that the center of his previous exam was just 20 minutes away from his house.

stop messing with life

Another student has raised the question that how should arrangements be made to travel such a long distance? He said, “NBE should answer how do we travel such a long distance? We are facing problems like ticket booking, flooding, room availability, closure of roads, train delays and increase in air fares. Stop playing with our lives.”

What did FIMA President say?

Not only this, FIMA President Dr. Rohan Krishnan has criticized the National Board of Examination (NBE). He has said that it is very unfortunate that it is not showing sympathy towards NEET PG candidates. The allocation of examination centers is so arbitrary that students have to travel thousands of kilometers in the rainy season. He said that the time has come to end the VIP culture of NbeIndia and establish a student-friendly system.
