NEET PG exam postponed: Congress attacks Modi government during reaction on removal of NTA DG Subodh Singh

Congress on NEET PG exam postponed: Amid the controversy over NEET-UG, the qualifying exam for admission to MBBS courses, the Union Health Ministry postponed NEET-PG 2024 late on Saturday (June 22). Along with this, the government took action against the DG of NTA and removed Subodh Singh from his post. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Modi government on the matter.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Now NEET PG postponed too! This is another unfortunate example of the ruined education system under Narendra Modi’s rule. Under BJP rule, students are forced to ‘fight’ the government to save their future, not ‘study’ to make their career. Now it is clear – Modi, who has been a silent spectator every time, is completely helpless in the face of the paper leak racket and education mafia. Narendra Modi The incompetent government of 2018 is the biggest threat to the future of students – we must save the country’s future from it.”

What did Congress say?

At the same time, the Congress party wrote, “Now the NEET-PG exam has also been cancelled. This exam was to be held tomorrow. Earlier, the UGC-NET exam was also cancelled due to paper leak. The youth of the country are already protesting on the streets regarding NEET. Modi government has become a paper leak government.”

‘NTA was given a clean chit 4 days ago, today the DG was removed’

On the postponement of NEET PG exam, Congress leader Pawan Khera said, “The NEET PG exam that was to be held tomorrow has been postponed tonight. This government is not able to conduct the exam. This government has completely lost its trust among the youth. The education minister who was giving a clean chit to NTA four days ago is now removing the director general of NTA. Who is responsible for the exams? Who is being protected? When will this investigation happen? When will this government be able to conduct the exam properly? People are not getting answers to these questions.”

What did Congress say when Subodh Singh was removed from his post?

Congress leader Surendra Rajput on the removal of NTA Director General Subodh Singh in the NEET-NEET ‘paper leak’ case, said, “Removing the NTA director will not help. The issue is of ideology and mediocre people being made dominant everywhere. The paper leak is not happening from just one place, but it is a whole system in which coaching mafia is involved. You need to change the whole system.”

Shivsena (UBT) demands resignation of Education Minister

Shiv Sena (UBT) also reacted on this matter. Party leader Anand Dubey said on the removal of Subodh Singh, “What will happen with this? It has been almost five years since the formation of NTA, but since then about 41 papers have been leaked. You cannot save yourself by sacking the NTA director and the Union Education Minister should resign.”

This person will be the DG of NTA in place of Subodh Singh

Subodh Singh has been placed on mandatory waiting period in the Department of Personnel and Training and Pradeep Singh Karola, a retired officer of the 1985 batch, has been appointed in his place till the appointment of a regular chief or until further orders. For the last two months, the NTA has been embroiled in controversies over alleged irregularities and paper leaks in the country’s two biggest competitive examinations.
