NEET UG 2024 Exam Cancellation Plea Rejected by Supreme Court Re neet for 1563 candidates live update latest update

NEET Re-Exam: The candidates demanding cancellation of NEET UG 2024 and re-conducting of the exam have got a setback from the Supreme Court. The court has clarified that the exam will not be cancelled for all the candidates but re-examination will be conducted only for those candidates who have been given grace marks. In this way, the hopes of a large number of candidates who were expecting the exam to be cancelled have been dashed. Many petitions were filed in the Supreme Court regarding NEET UG scam. In these, the issue of grace marks, paper leak and many other irregularities was raised.

These candidates got the benefit of grace marks

At many centres, candidates were given the benefit of grace marks. NTA said that since the paper started late here, this method was adopted to save time. These centres were in Meghalaya, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Surat, Chandigarh etc. Now the exam will be conducted again for these candidates.

Many candidates will like the decision

While a large number of candidates were demanding re-NEET, there was also a large section which was disturbed by the cancellation of the exam and the talk of re-NEET. Taking the exam again is a big task in which not everyone wants to participate. For such students, the Supreme Court has said that there is no need to fear, the paper will not be cancelled… This clearly means that the exam will not be cancelled.

Only these candidates will give the exam

NEET UG exam will be conducted only for those candidates who were given grace marks. However, these students have also got the option to appear in the exam if they want or they can leave the grace marks and continue with the actual score.

NTA gave this answer

NTA had already replied to 67 students getting 720 out of 720 marks that some of them got more marks due to changes in the answer key of Physics subject and some got more due to grace marks. The students also demanded that the exam be cancelled and counselling be stopped. Currently, the court has also refused to stop counselling.

For the first time so many toppers

Let us tell you that only two candidates topped in the year 2023 and only one candidate topped in the year 2022, whereas this time a total of 67 students have become toppers. Two students have been given 718 and 719 marks which is not possible according to the marking scheme. Answers to these and many such questions were sought from NTA.
