NEET UG Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Says high level committee will look into NTA functioning


NEET-UG 2024: Today, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held a press conference regarding the irregularities in the NEET exam. During this, he covered many issues related to the exam. The Education Minister said that the government is committed to the interests of the students and will not compromise on transparency at any cost. The government is in touch with the Bihar government regarding the NEET exam and the Patna Police is preparing a detailed report. As soon as the report is received, it will be sent to the Government of India. The Education Minister said that strict action will be taken against the culprits of the irregularities in the NEET exam. He said that action will be taken against the culprits on receiving concrete information. NTA or any person of NTA will not be spared in the case of irregularities in the NEET exam.

The culprits will not be spared

In the press conference, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that sporadic incidents of irregularities should not affect the lakhs of students who have passed the examination in the right manner. Pradhan said that a high-level committee will be formed to investigate the functioning of the National Examination Agency (NTA). He appealed to the opposition parties not to politicise the issue and said that strict action will be taken against those found guilty, including NTA officials. The Education Minister said that a high-level committee will soon be formed to review and improve the functioning of the NTA.

The paper was leaked on the darknet

The Education Minister said that the UGC NET exam paper was leaked on the darknet, so the exam has been cancelled. The government will not tolerate any kind of irregularity or malpractice. 67 students scored 100% marks in this exam, which is unprecedented in the history of NTA. NEET-UG exam is conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses in government and private institutions across the country.
