Mudassir, a six-year-old boy missing from Kaudiyaganj town of Akrabad in Aligarh, was murdered by his neighbor Anees on the same day and his body was thrown in a mustard field. The police arrested the accused and recovered the body on his information. During police interrogation, he told that he had killed the child under the influence of alcohol.
Mudassir was the son of Gulsher, resident of Kaudiyaganj town. He had gone to buy some goods from a shop located on the street on the evening of 6 February. After this he did not return home. Gulsher had filed a case of unknown kidnapping at the police station.
According to police station in-charge Rishipal Kasana, the family members had suspected one of their neighbors of kidnapping Anees. On the basis of suspicion, the police detained Anees and interrogated him strictly and within some time the incident came to light.
Anees told the police that he was drunk at the time of the incident. He picked up Mudassir from the street and took him to the forest and strangled him to death. They took him and the child’s family members along and recovered the body from the mustard field. The body was in a mutilated condition and had been torn to pieces by wild animals. Mudassir was the seventh among his siblings. Seeing his dead body, the family members were in a sad state, crying.
