Nepal Dang District Bus Falls Into River 2 Indian Nationals Including 12 People Killed In Accident


Nepal Bus Accident: A bus fell into a river and crashed late on Friday (January 12) in Dang district of central-western Nepal. 12 people including two Indian citizens have died in this accident. This was confirmed by Nepal Police. Out of the total 12 people killed in the accident in Bhalbang of Dang district, 8 people have been identified. Chief Inspector of Bhalubang Police Ujjwal Bahadur Singh informed on the accident that the passenger bus was going from Nepalganj of Banke to Kathmandu. Meanwhile, the bus slipped from the bridge and fell into the Rapti river.

The Chief Inspector of Police said that 8 people killed in the accident have been identified. Two Indians are also included in these. Nepal’s Bhalubang Regional Police Office gave this information to ANI over phone. He said that 22 passengers were also injured in the bus accident.

Identification of two Indians killed in the accident
Two Indians killed in Nepal bus accident have been identified. One of them is Yogendra Ram (67), a resident of Malahi in Bihar, while the other deceased person has been identified as Mune (31), a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Inspector of Nepal Police said on the matter that the bodies were taken to Lamhi Hospital for post-mortem. However, no further information was given regarding this.

Accident in Nepal last year
Last year also in the month of March, a tragic bus accident took place in Sindhuli district of Nepal. In that accident a bus had collided with a hill. At least six people died and 28 others were injured in the accident. According to The Kathmandu Post, there were 34 passengers in the bus that met with the accident. After discovering the accident in the hilly area, police and relief forces removed the bus from there. Deputy Superintendent of Police Chiranjeevi Dahal was quoted as saying that the bus driver had fled from the spot after the accident.
