Saakar Hari’s lawyer AP Singh has presented a new claim regarding the cause of death in the Hathras accident. He has said that the poisonous gas released from the cans was the real cause of death.
Saakar Hari Baba’s lawyer AP Singh said on Sunday that the incident after the satsang in Hathras is a conspiracy against Baba’s growing popularity. Witnesses of the incident contacted him. Witnesses say that 15-16 people were carrying poisonous gas cans, which they opened in the crowd. Due to which there was a stampede there. Lawyer AP Singh said that I have seen the postmortem report of the deceased and it shows that they died due to suffocation and not due to any other reason.
Alleging a conspiracy behind the stampede, he said vehicles were parked at the spot to help those who released the poisonous gas to escape. We have evidence and will give it. Lawyer AP Singh said the witnesses who have approached him have requested anonymity. We will seek security for them.
121 people, mostly women, died in a stampede following a satsang of Surajpal alias Narayan Sakar Hari alias Bhole Baba in Hathras. Nine people, including prime accused Devprakash Madhukar, have been arrested in the stampede case. On July 6, Hathras police said it was also probing suspected funding by a political party. Madhukar was the main organiser and fundraiser of the ‘satsang’, officials had said. Sakar Hari was not mentioned as an accused in the FIR lodged at the local Sikandrarao police station.
