In fact, NFHS survey has revealed that Indian people are now preferring to eat fish more than chicken, mutton and eggs. The biggest thing is that in Jammu and Kashmir alone, an increase of 20.09 percent has been seen in the number of people eating fish.

In fact, World Fish India conducted a research in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and other government and international bodies, in which researchers used National Family Household Survey data between 2005-06 and 2019-21 to understand this over 15 years. Analyzed.

Based on these data, it was found that between 2005-06 and 2019-21, the number of people eating fish has increased from 66 percent to 72.1 percent. At the same time, between 2005 and 2020, per capita annual fish consumption has increased from 4.9 kg to 8.9 kg.

Let us tell you, between 2020 and 2021, an increase has been recorded in the number of people eating fish in the top five states and union territories. In this, Lakshadweep is at number one followed by Goa, then Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Tripura and Chhattisgarh.
