According to the statement of NIA, Inderpal Singh Gaba, resident of Hounslow, UK, has been arrested. He has been involved in carrying out illegal activities during the protests in London on March 22, 2023. There were attacks on the Indian High Commission during the demonstration. A conspiracy was hatched to attack Indian officials in London

It was told by the central agency that the NIA’s investigation in the case so far has revealed that the incidents of protests that took place in London on March 19 and 22 last year were not just like that. These were part of a larger conspiracy to attack the Indian mission and its officials. The cover of the demonstration was used to carry out the attack.

The NIA statement also said that after the action taken by Punjab Police on March 18, 2023 against Khalistani terrorist Amritpal Singh, who was involved in violent activities, Khalistani terrorists sitting in London had planned to take revenge. For this, these attacks were carried out under the guise of protests in front of the Indian Embassy in London in March 2023. According to this, the investigation of the case is going on. Inderpal Singh, arrested in the case, is being interrogated and efforts are being made to find out about other accused who were involved in the attack. Apart from this, other suspects have also been identified on the basis of CCTV footage.
