Aligarh Muslim University is ranked 9th in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 under the banner of Ministry of Education. There is a wave of happiness in the AMU fraternity after coming in the top-10, earlier in the year 2022 it was ranked 11th.

AMU has been ranked 23rd in the research category, while it was ranked 28th in the year 2022. In the engineering category, AMU was ranked 32nd, up from 37th last year. Ranked 9th, 31st and 55th in Architecture, Dental and Management category/discipline respectively. Got 14th and 28th rank in law and medical studies.

President of University Ranking Committee AMU Prof. M Salim Baig said that despite the tough competition this year AMU results have been good. This year 6405 institutes were included in the ranking as compared to 5603 last year. For this success Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohd Gulrez, Registrar Mohd Imran, Dean of DSW Prof. Abdul Aleem and others contributed.

AMU has significantly improved its overall ranking in NIRF-2023. It shows hard work, dedication and commitment. The Ranking Committee and IQAC of AMU worked tirelessly to achieve the above ranking. His commitment is commendable. -Pro. Mohd Gulrez, Vice Chancellor, AMU.
