• Do not cut your hair, trim your nails or shave on this day.
• Even if you do not observe the fast of Nirjala Ekadashi, do not consume meat, onion and garlic etc. on this day.
• Give up rice on the day of Nirjala Ekadashi.
• Pregnant women should not observe this fast.
