The construction of Sri Kashi Natukottai Nagar Kshetram Dharamshala, to be built in Kashi by Natkottam Kshetram for the devotees of South India, will be completed in one and a half years. Dharamshala will be dedicated to the devotees in October 2025. The ten-storey Dharamshala to be built on the land of Kshetram in front of Nataraj Cinema in Sigra will have 135 rooms.
On April 21, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will perform Bhoomi Pujan for Dharamshala. This information was given by Kshatram President Lena Narayan and Secretary S Kathiresan in a press conference at the office in Sigra on Saturday. Lena Narayan told that for the last 210 years, he has been sending worship material to Lord Vishwanath and Mother Vishalakshi thrice a day continuously. Kshatram had purchased this land on 23 November 1894 for just five thousand rupees.
He told that 65 thousand square feet of land was purchased to offer flowers and leaves to Baba Vishwanath. Illegal occupation of land for the last 50 years was removed with the help of the government and administration. Now a 10-storey Dharamshala Sri Kashi Nakottai Nagar Kshetram with 135 rooms will be constructed on it. Along with this, there will also be hostel, residence and banquet hall.
Laying the foundation stone of Dharamshala is a violation of the code of conduct: Congress
Congress has expressed objection to the proposed program of the Finance Minister and the Chief Minister in the foundation stone laying program of the Dharamshala to be built in Sigra for South Indian devotees. Congress Metropolitan President Raghavendra Choubey said that the code of conduct is being flouted. Such a program is inappropriate during elections. The administration in Banaras remains a mute spectator under the pressure of power.
