The spoon has been designed by Professor Homi Miyashita of Meiji University. The company that made it, Kirin, says that its use increases the saltiness of food by one and a half times. The company said that it has been launched at four levels. The price of the unique spoon, launched on May 20, is 19,800 yen i.e. Rs 10,469.
