If you are fasting and you feel like eating jalebi, then you can eat jalebi to your heart’s content. This jalebi is made of potatoes. It is as crispy in appearance as it is delicious to eat. About 200 plates are sold every day.

You must have eaten a lot of potato kachoris. But, potato jalebi is available in Govardhan. Not only this, you can eat this jalebi even during fasting. This will not break your fast. You will get this jalebi at Dadda ji Mishthan Bhandar located in Jatipura of Govardhan. Shop operator Mahendra told that this shop is before the Mukharbind temple of Jatipura. The shop is about 350 years old. Our ancestors started this shop. He told that the fifth generation is running this shop.

The shop is 250 years old
Mahendra told that he has been making potato jalebi for 250 years. Potato, water chestnut flour, sugar and mawa are used to make it. This whole process takes about three hours. Mahendra said that he starts selling potato jalebi only after having darshan of the Lord and offering bhog. He sells about 15-20 kg of potato jalebi every day. If there is a festival, then about 40-50 kg of jalebi is sold. Jalebi is made from pure desi ghee. Its price is 400 rupees per kg.

You can eat potato jalebi even during fasting
Customer Krishna Kant Garg said that you will get potato jalebi only here in the whole country. The jalebi here is world famous. People who observe fast also enjoy this jalebi. Garg said that this potato jalebi is very tasty to eat. Its price also seems pale in front of its taste.
