The railway station to be built near Noida’s Jewar International Airport will be the country’s first underground railway station. For rail connectivity from the airport, the railway station will be built under the passenger terminal of Jewar Airport. Let us tell you that till now, railway stations under the passenger terminal of the airport existed only at four places in the world, Tokyo, Berlin, New York and Paris International Airport.

The entire facility for passenger movement between the railway station and the passenger terminal will be high tech. Passengers will be able to come and go here with the help of elevators, lifts and stairs. This complex of the railway station and passenger terminal will be air conditioned. The 16 kilometer railway line passing through the area near the airport will also go underground.

7 railway stations will be built in 61 km

Giving information about this project, officials of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority said that the total length of the new railway link to the airport to be built to connect the Mumbai-New Delhi and Kolkata-New Delhi railway lines will be 61 kilometers. A total of seven railway stations will be constructed in this.

In which the first railway station will be built near Rundhi village ahead of Palwal station in Haryana. After this, the second railway station will be built in Chandhat. After this, the railway line will cross Haryana and reach Uttar Pradesh. The first railway station in Uttar Pradesh will be built in Jewar Khadar. After this, it will be built at Jewar Airport, 33 km from Palwal. After this, it will be built in Jahangirpur, then Bighepur and the last railway station will be built in Chola.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited raised objection

Let us tell you that Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), the company building the airport in Noida, has raised its objection regarding the underground railway station and railway line proposed by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The company has demanded extra land for this project.
