Now vehicles can be registered in Delhi even if the Aadhar card is from outside Delhi. The Transport Department has issued an order in this regard and said that those registering the vehicle can give two addresses. One of these will be the permanent address of the applicant and the other will be the current address. The RC of the registered vehicle will be sent to the current address only. Transport Department officials said that if the Aadhar card is from outside Delhi, then registration will be done only if there are some necessary documents related to Delhi. This facility will be updated on NIC for now. It will be implemented after that.
The Delhi government has implemented the faceless policy. To make it better, the transport department is constantly making changes in it so that people can get benefits. Under this, now self-registered dealers can also register non-corporate, non-transport category vehicles on Aadhaar cards outside Delhi. In Delhi, when a vehicle is purchased by a person from a self-registered dealer and the buyer has an Aadhaar card with an address outside Delhi, the registration process requires approval from the concerned District Transport Officer.
In such a situation, now both permanent and current addresses will be registered during the registration process. But Aadhaar-based e-KYC will be mandatory. If the applicant has a permanent address outside Delhi on his Aadhaar card, then he will also have to provide a current address proof in Delhi. Transport department officials said that if the vehicle is being purchased in the corporate category, then in this case it will be mandatory to provide GST identification number and PAN number.

If the applicant has an Aadhaar card with an address outside Delhi, then he will have to provide some documents related to Delhi. This includes water bill of Delhi Jal Board and NDMC, electricity bill, telephone bill, post office or bank passbook containing residential address, house tax mutation order, house allotment/possession letter issued by estate officer, DDA, PWD, Cooperative Group Housing Society certificate from employer along with salary slip in case of government employee, computerized ration card, marriage certificate issued by designated magistrate, residence certificate/caste certificate/senior citizen certificate issued by district administration.
