Ajit Doval on Pakistan: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Said on Thursday (February 16) that after the partition of India, when cultivable land went to Pakistan, people used to think that India would not be able to feed its people.
NSA Ajit Doval said, “At the time of partition of India, 22 million hectares of agricultural land went to Pakistan. This was the part of India where maximum food grains were produced. After this, many people believed that food would not be able to be produced for the 35 crore people of the country. It is a matter of pride that after 75 years of independence, our population has increased to 135 crores. When the country became independent, we had 50 million tonnes of food grains, which has increased to 315 million tonnes today.
