The company said that the testing of this battery has been completed and in the coming time it will be prepared for smartphones and drones. However, before mass production the company will have to obtain all the necessary clearances. Betavolt’s atomic energy batteries can supply long-term power to medical equipment, aerospace, AI equipment, microprocessors, advanced sensors, small drones and micro robots. The company said that this battery will revolutionize the world of AI.
Battery dimensions
Talking about dimensions, it is 15 x 15 x 5 millimeters. This battery is made of wafer-thin layers of atomic isotopes and diamond semiconductors. At present this battery generates 100 microwatt electricity at 3 volts. However, the company aims to bring it to 1 watt power by 2025. The special thing about this atomic energy battery is that it radiation emitted It does not harm humans, due to which it can play an important role in the medical field also.
How does this battery work?
Actually, this battery converts the energy released from isotope into electricity. This concept was first developed in the 20th century. China is working towards miniaturizing nuclear batteries under its 14th five-year plan for 2021-2025. These batteries have a layered design, due to which there is no risk of fire or bursting of the battery due to sudden force. The company has claimed that these batteries can work comfortably in temperatures ranging from minus 60 to 120 degrees.
