The race for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas from the academic session 2024-25 is becoming tough. The number of seats in Kendriya Vidyalayas has been reduced from this session. In this way only 32 students will get admission in one class. Earlier, 40 students were admitted in a class. In this way, eight seats have been reduced in one class. This step has been taken so that teachers can pay proper attention to children.
Every year a large number of applications are made for admission in KV. Due to less number of seats, the problems of admission will increase for the parents. At present, more applications are being made than seats, hence due to less seats the chances of admission of many children will be reduced. The number of children already studying in the classes of Kendriya Vidyalayas will not be reduced. Offline registration for admission to kindergarten and first class in Kendriya Vidyalaya has started from April 1, which will continue till April 15. The selection list of all registered students will be released on 19th April. Whereas the second list will be released on 29th April and the third list will be released on 8th May if seats remain vacant.
At the same time, applications can be made from April 1 to April 10 for other classes (except class 11th). Under this, the admission list will be released on April 15. Based on this list, the admission process will run from April 16 to June 29.
