According to Oman’s Maritime Security Center, this oil tanker was flying the flag of the East African country Comoros. On Tuesday, this oil tanker sank near Oman’s major industrial Duqm port and no trace of the crew members has been found so far.

As soon as the information about the tanker’s overturning was received, the local authorities started a search and rescue operation, but according to the latest information, nothing has been known about the people on board the tanker. It is being told in media reports that the tanker that has sunk is about 117 meters long and was built in the year 2017.

The Maritime Security Center has tweeted that this oil tanker flying the Comoros flag has sunk 25NM south east of Ras Madrakah. Investigation work has been started as per the guidelines required for its search and rescue.
