Omar Abdullah On Jammu Kashmir Assembly Election CAA BJP Lok Sabha Election 2024 National Conference Candidate List ANN

Jammu Kashmir Assembly Election: Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah started campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections on Monday (March 18, 2024). While addressing the election meeting in Kulgam, he presented the party’s agenda before the people and said that we will win.

The special thing about the election meeting was that the potential candidates were seen on the stage without the announcement of the candidates. Sources told ABP News that National Conference’s Gujjar leader Mian Altaf can be made the candidate from Anantnag parliamentary constituency, who was seen on the stage with Omar Abdullah. Omar Abdullah, however, denied this and said that the presence of Mian Altaf was a sign.

What allegation?
Omar Abdullah alleged that it is because of the Jammu and Kashmir administration that assembly elections are not being held here once again. He said that it is the compulsion of the Election Commission to hold elections by September, but the truth is that the bureaucracy of Jammu and Kashmir does not want a democratic government in the state.

Recently, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar had said that the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held after the Lok Sabha elections due to security concerns.

What did you say about CAA?
Regarding CAA, Omar Abdullah said that BJP has always been targeting minorities. BJP also wants to gain advantage in elections through CAA. In fact, the Central Government had recently issued a notification regarding the implementation of CAA.

CAA (CAA) was passed in the Parliament in December, 2019 and then it also got the approval of the President, but protests against it started in many parts of the country.
