The latest case is of Gajraula area where a crocodile got trapped in the net set up for fishing. Seeing the crocodile, the youth left the trap and ran away. After this, the villagers with great difficulty released the crocodile back into the river.

In fact, one-third of Pilibhit district is covered by forests. In such a situation, wildlife often enters the human population while walking. Due to the abundance of rivers and canals here, sometimes crocodiles also come out and reach the population. Such incidents are maximum in Amaria tehsil of Pilibhit district. Recently, some villagers in Gajraula area had planted a net in the Katina river for fishing. But instead of a fish, a crocodile got trapped in the net.

When the youths who were fishing took out the net, they lost their senses and left the net on the spot and ran away. Later, Hemnath, a villager who went to the river bank, saw the crocodile there, he created a ruckus and gathered the farmers around. After this everyone together with great difficulty released the crocodile back into the river.

Most cases in Amaria area

Let us tell you that Devha river passes through Amaria and Jehanabad areas of Pilibhit. A large number of crocodiles are found in the Deoha river. In such a situation, many times crocodiles come out of the river and enter the population. A few months ago a crocodile attacked a woman who had gone to the toilet.
