Gram cultivation stopped with one opinion
Farmers say that when we used to cultivate gram, then if monkeys had reached the field even for a short time, they would have eaten the entire gram. That’s why everyone stopped cultivating gram with one opinion, so that monkeys don’t come. But, now they are also destroying wheat crops. Tell that due to lack of water in this area, farmers used to cultivate gram, lentils, mustard so that they could get some crops from their fields and they would be able to live, but sometimes due to excessive rains and sometimes due to drought. The crops got ruined but now there is more danger from these animals.
Complaint on CM helpline also
The farmers who have water facilities in the villages are cultivating wheat, but the terror of monkeys is such that they come and play in the entire field. Because of this, the crops get scattered and then they are not able to recover. Farmers have also complained from the CM helpline to other places, but no solution has been found anywhere. That’s why he stopped complaining and also stopped cultivating gram.
Terror of robber monkeys in these villages
The farmers of Sanaudha, Simariya, Dharkhedi are the most affected among the Sagar villages where there is terror of monkey robbers. Apart from this, farmers of many villages like Midwasa, Chandokh, Gadar, Chhapri, Majhguwa, Kerbana, Padariya, Parasoria, Amoda, Dungasara have also given up gram-lentil cultivation due to the problem of monkey robbers.
