Sarhasa. You must have eaten or heard of mushroom vegetable, soup or pasta etc. but do you know that Gulab Jamun and Dhokla can also be made from mushroom? The thing is shocking but it is true. If you come to the two-day farmer’s fair and garden exhibition organized in Krishi Bhawan, you will get Gulab Jamun and Dhokla of mushrooms. A crowd of people is gathering to see this. People were seen repeatedly asking the lady farmer sitting at the counter the method of making gulab jamun and dhokla from mushrooms. Many women farmers have participated in this fair.
Kumari Nutan, a member of the Maa Vaishno Devi Women’s Food Security Group, who came to this fair of the Agriculture Department, told that we have three types of mushrooms. White, Pink and Dry. We have prepared many items from mushroom. Items like Gulab Jamun, Dhokla, Badi, Pakori, Bhujia, Powder are also being discussed. She says that there is less demand from the market, so different mushroom products are being supplied in very small quantities. Gradually, awareness is increasing among the people, so the demand will also increase.
So that farmers can take full advantage
Nutan told that many women are associated with our group and if any woman wants to join it, she can contact the agriculture officer. In fact, Kisan Mela and Garden Exhibition have been organized with the aim of making farmers aware about the schemes being run by the government. Along with this, they are being given information about new techniques of farming. Here the doubts and curiosities of the farmers are being resolved.
