The Madeyganj police arrested a candidate who had appeared for the constable recruitment exam held in the capital Lucknow last week on the last day of the exam on 31 August by changing his age and name. Pulkit, a resident of Muridpur in Akbarpur in Kanpur countryside, had appeared for the exam at Mumtaz PG College in Madeyganj.
During checking, the centre in-charge Inspector Shailendra Kumar Singh had some doubts about Pulkit. On this, the biometric test of the candidate was done and it was found to be different. When the inspector checked Pulkit’s data, his name was found written as Amit Yadav in some documents.
On this, he was taken into custody and questioned, and it was found that he had earlier passed the 10th class examination in the year 2007 from Shyamlal Adarsh Janta Vidyalaya Mairakpur Lalpur Kanpur Dehat. His date of birth was mentioned as 1993 in the 10th marksheet. Then, to get a job, he passed the 10th class examination in the year 2015 from Vimla Devi Inter College Parsoli Raniyan Kanpur Dehat.
His date of birth was written in it as August 8, 1999. According to Inspector Madeganj, the accused has been sent to jail.
