An Indian man was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport for allegedly smuggling heroin worth over Rs 29 crore. The Customs Department gave this information on Tuesday. It said the accused was stopped on November 9 upon his arrival from Bangkok via Kuala Lumpur.

A statement issued by the Customs department said, “During the search of the luggage of Pax, white colored narcotic substance packed in seven green colored polythene packets, weighing 7.321 kg (without packing material) was recovered from the trolley bag of Pax. K) was.” The statement said the recovered substance is suspected to be heroin, whose street value is approximately Rs 29.28 crore. It said the passenger was arrested and drugs were seized.
