Kharge retaliated
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, PM Modi will not do whatever he says because until this bill comes in the Parliament, he will have to take everyone into confidence, only then it will happen. One nation one election is impossible.

What did PM Modi say?
PM Modi said the âOne Nation, One Electionâ proposal, which aims to hold all elections in the country simultaneously on the same day or within a specific time frame, will soon be approved and become a reality. The proposal was approved by the Cabinet earlier this year and will be presented in the winter session of Parliament later this year.
He said, âWe are now working towards âOne Nation One Electionâ, which will strengthen Indiaâs democracy, make best use of Indiaâs resources and give new momentum to the country in realizing the dream of a developed India. âToday India is moving towards âOne Nation One Civil Codeâ, which is a secular civil code.â
