One Side Uttar Pradesh Opposition Leaders Reject Rahul Gandhi Invitation Other Side Mehbooba Mufti Accepted

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress is going on a short break these days. This journey is going to start again next year. The party has also invited opposition leaders in Uttar Pradesh to join the yatra and there have been reports of major opposition leaders not participating in the yatra. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra may have left empty handed in terms of opposition partners in Uttar Pradesh, but this will not be seen in Jammu and Kashmir.

In Jammu and Kashmir, this yatra will reach in the month of March, but to participate in it, from National Conference to PDP and Gupkar Alliance have said to participate in this yatra. Bharat Jodo Yatra is on rest for 9 days. Next year, on January 3, 2023, it is going to roar again and this yatra, which started from Kanyakumari, will end in Kashmir.

Rahul will hoist the tricolor in Kashmir

Congress leader and MP KC Venugopal, who reached Jammu to finalize the preparations for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, said that when the yatra reaches here, Rahul Gandhi will unfurl the national flag in Kashmir. He has also confirmed the participation of Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Tarigami in the yatra. So at the same time, National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah had announced their participation before the start of the yatra.

National Conference’s reaction

Farooq Abdullah said that when the yatra enters Lakhapur on the border of Jammu and Kashmir, it will be welcomed. Later, Omar Abdullah said that when party president Farooq Abdullah announced participation, everyone in the party would participate.

PDP’s reaction

Regarding this, the former CM of Jammu and Kashmir has said that today I was invited to join Rahul Gandhi in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kashmir. I salute his indomitable courage and believe it is my duty to stand by the man who has the courage to challenge the fascist forces.

condition of Uttar Pradesh

So, in Uttar Pradesh, no major opposition party is likely to participate, though the Congress has invited Samajwadi Party, Jayant Chaudhary’s Rashtriya Lok Dal and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party. Jayant Chowdhary has already announced that he will not be able to attend the yatra due to prior commitments.

Keeping distance from the Congress, former ally Akhilesh Yadav is also unlikely to attend the yatra, although it is not clear whether he will send a representative. So on the other hand, the possibility of BSP chief Mayawati also participating in this yatra is considered to be negligible.
