A new case has come to light from South Korea, where a woman fell in love with Elon Musk’s deepfake i.e. fake Elon Musk, due to which she lost $50,000 i.e. about Rs 41 lakh. Loving fake Elon Musk proved costly

Actually, Independent UK, while giving information about this news quoting local media reports, has said that the name of this South Korean woman is Jeong Ji-sun. According to the report, this South Korean woman told that when she talked to a person on Instagram, she felt that her dream had come true. The woman told that she thought she was talking to Elon Musk on Instagram, but in reality it was a deepfake video of Elon Musk, which was created by online romance scammers using artificial intelligence technology.

Told about Tesla and Spexx

While narrating his story to the South Korean broadcaster, Jeong Ji-sun informed that, on July 17, 2023, fake Musk added me as a friend on his Instagram account. I have become a big fan of Elon Musk after reading his biography, but after he added it on Instagram, I was first suspicious, but after that fake Musk sent me his ID card, shared pictures from the office, he is constantly in the office. Started talking about things and started sharing pictures of the office, started talking about his children, talked about things related to Tesla, about going to SpaceX with his children, etc.

Elon Musk looks real in video call

Jeong Ji-sun further told that he was fully convinced when he received a video call from fake Elon Musk. He looked exactly like the real Elon Musk. After that he proposed me and then we started talking. The scammer made the woman believe that he was the real Elon Musk and after a few days asked the woman to invest her money so that she could become rich like Elon Musk. The scammer sent a Korean bank account details to the woman for investment. The fake Musk told the woman that this account belonged to a Korean employee of his company, in which 70 million Korean Won (about 50,000 dollars and 41 lakh rupees) was to be invested. Fake Musk told the woman that he would make her rich with this money.

Let us tell you that this is not the first case of fake Elon Musk. Earlier in 2022, a man from China also used to post videos on TikTok posing as a fake Musk. Musk had said about him that if he is really a person then he would like to meet him himself, but nowadays in the era of deepfakes it is difficult to tell what is real and what is fake.
