Opposition walks out of Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said- those who spread lies are unable to hear the truth

Parliament Session 2024: PM Modi is responding to the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha today. A day earlier, he had responded to the discussion on the motion of thanks in the Lok Sabha. Prime Minister in Rajya Sabha Narendra Modi He said, ‘Getting a chance for the third time is historic. The MPs have enhanced the dignity of the House.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “In the last two and a half days, about 70 MPs participated in this discussion. I express my gratitude to all of you for the contribution you have made in interpreting the President’s address.”

A direct target on Congress

Attacking the Congress, he said, ‘In the history of India’s independence, after many decades in our parliamentary democratic journey, the people of the country have given a government a chance to serve for the third consecutive time. After 60 years, it has happened that the government has returned to power after being in power for 10 years. This is not a normal thing. Some people deliberately tried to tarnish this decision given by the people.

He further said, ‘I want to thank some of the Congress colleagues from the bottom of my heart. Since the results came, one of our colleagues (though his party was not supporting him) had repeatedly proclaimed that we will form a one-third government. What can be a bigger truth than this that we have completed 10 years, and 20 more are left. One-third has been completed, two-thirds are still left and so he is very happy for his prediction.’

‘There will be a decisive battle against poverty’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Some people sitting here say what is the big deal. This is bound to happen. These people want to run the government in auto pilot mode. They believe in waiting. We want to work hard. The next 5 years will focus on saturation of basic amenities. The next 5 years are a decisive battle against poverty. We will win the battle against poverty. I am speaking from my 10 years of experience that when the country becomes the third largest economy of the world, its impact will be felt in every sphere of life. During this time you will get many opportunities to expand.

‘WE WORKED FOR THE FARMERS’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We have seen agriculture in a broad form and have provided Kisan Credit Card to fishermen as well. During the tenure of Congress, farmers’ loan waiver happened once in 10 years and a lot of effort was made to mislead the farmers and so much noise was made about the loan waiver of 60 thousand crores. Its beneficiaries were only three crore farmers. There was no trace of the poor farmers. They did not even get the benefit.”

‘Stamp on the politics of trust’

PM Modi said, “In these elections, we are proud of the intelligence of the people of the country. They defeated propaganda. The public gave priority to performance. They rejected the politics of deception and put the seal of victory on the politics of trust.”

After sloganeering and uproar, the opposition walked out of the House, on which PM Modi said, it is their fate to leave the field.

Targeting the opposition, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘These people are not able to digest the truth. That is why they are running away from the field. I am bound by my duty. I have to give account of every moment to the countrymen.’
