On February 16, the government approved the revised draft of the Master Plan-2031 prepared by Aligarh Development Authority (ADA) for the planned development of the city. In this, a development blueprint has been drawn keeping in mind the needs of the estimated population of 43 lakh by the year 2031.

ADA Vice President Atul Vats gave detailed information to the media and said that it was implemented with immediate effect. He told that this is the first GIS based (Geographic Information System) master plan. He told that Aligarh is known as Tala, Talim in the country and abroad. This master plan has been prepared keeping in mind the next 10 years for the planned development of the city.

He told that it was placed before the Chief Minister, on which the Chief Minister gave some suggestions, a revised draft of the master plan was prepared by incorporating them. Which has been approved. The city residents were waiting for this for a long time. For about three years, intensive brainstorming was going on for the preparation of this master plan, disposal of objections etc. Many building construction works are also stuck waiting for this. After the implementation of the new master plan, the income of ADA will also increase and the number of maps passed for building construction will increase. Combined land use has been declared on Ramghat Road of the metropolis. The industrial area has been expanded on Talanagari and GT Road.
