Paddy Purchase: The process of paddy procurement in the country has come to a standstill in some states, while in some there has been a rise in paddy procurement. Paddy procurement has started in the state from November 1. The State Government has fixed a target for the purchase of paddy. This year 110 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is to be purchased from the farmers. The Chief Minister has directed the officers of all the districts that the farmers coming to the purchase centers should not face any kind of problem. Paddy must be procured relative to the target. Paddy should not be returned to the farmers without purchase.
Paddy is being bought at this much MSP
Paddy is being procured in Chhattisgarh on MSP. 2594 procurement centers have been set up for paddy purchase. Normal paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 2040 per quintal and grade-A paddy at Rs 2060 per quintal. At the same time, a close watch is being kept on the paddy coming from other states. The administration is taking action considering it as illegal transport.
Issued more than 19 thousand online tokens
70,356 tokens have been issued for the purchase of paddy, while 19,481 online tokens have been issued through the Token Tuhar Haath app. Farmers are also showing interest in online registration. This year 25.92 lakh farmers have been registered. Out of this, about 2.26 lakh new farmers have joined. At the same time, the paddy area of registered farmers has increased to 30.44 lakh hectares.
