Gaya: A person riding a bike died on the spot after being hit by a truck near Dobhi Surya Mandal on the Gaya-Barachatti main road on Thursday. The patrolling police caught the truck immediately after the accident, but the truck driver managed to escape. The deceased is a resident of Allahabad, UP.

Kamlesh Das, a resident of Allahabad Prayag, UP, was traveling by road from the direction of UP on a motorcycle near Surya Mandal check post located in Barachatti police station area of the district. Near Surya Mandal check post, a speeding truck coming from the other direction crushed the bike rider.
The bike rider died tragically on the spot in the accident. The police of Barachatti police station patrolling the spot, seeing the accident, immediately tried to catch the driver who hit them, but the truck driver managed to escape leaving the truck behind. Police seized the truck from the spot and started investigation.
Deceased identified through Aadhaar card
After the road accident, the police started investigation to identify the deceased. Police found Aadhaar card from the bike rider’s packet. In which the bike rider was identified as Kamlesh Das, a resident of Allahabad, UP. Police took the body of the deceased in their custody from the spot and sent it to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The police is trying to contact the family members of the deceased.
