Pakistan Army-Police Clash Case: Many videos related to the clash between army and police personnel in Pakistan’s Punjab province have gone viral on social media. This case has also exposed the lack of coordination between the Army and the Punjab Police in Pakistan. This high profile drama has also disrupted the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Pakistan. In a video viral on social media, army personnel are allegedly seen attacking a police station and policemen.
Actually, this entire incident is said to have happened on 7th April. According to Dawn report, on April 7, an ASI and a SHO of the Madrasa police had raided the house of Rafaqat, son of a man named Mohammed Anwar, for allegedly possessing an unlicensed pistol. After this the matter escalated and Anwar’s second son Mohammad Khalil, an army officer and other family members took two policemen hostage. A video of policemen being held hostage also went viral on social media.
The reports of the outlets also claimed that the clash between the army personnel and the policemen took place when the police recovered illegal weapons from a relative of a soldier and took him into custody.
In another video clip viral on social media, two policemen are seen running to save their lives inside a police station, but are eventually caught.
Policemen were seen sitting on their knees on the ground
Apart from this, in another viral video, three policemen can be seen sitting on their knees on the ground and are being tortured. Policemen are also seen pleading with the army personnel to leave. In another video, a man can be seen sitting on the ground with his nose bleeding. In the background, other army soldiers can be seen allegedly kicking the people lying on the ground.
Punjab Police termed viral video as fake propaganda
In various such viral videos, it has been claimed that there is an alleged clash between the Pakistan Army and the Punjab Police personnel. However, no official confirmation of this type of viral video has been made from either side. However, both the army and the police have not given any special attention to this incident, while the Punjab Police says that it was falsely propagated on social media. At the same time, the army has called it “face-off”.

The matter of raid was not in the knowledge of senior officers
On the other hand, the Madrasa Police had also registered a case against 23 members of Mohammad Anwar’s family. At the same time, when the matter reached Bahawalnagar District Police Officer, it was investigated. The ASI and SHO who led the raid on Anwar’s son’s house have been arrested.

Action taken against policemen after joint investigation of the entire matter
