Karachi Police Head Quarter Attack: Terrorists have attacked the police headquarters in Karachi, Pakistan. According to Pakistani media, more than 10 terrorists are present in the headquarters. Along with this, terrorists have also entered inside a multi-story building. All the lights of the Karachi Police Office have been switched off. All the doors have also been closed.

The attackers hurled grenades from behind the police headquarters and later they tried to enter the four-storey building. Police said staff were still present in the police chief’s office when the attackers detonated and fired. A heavy police force has reached the police headquarters.

After the arrival of the terrorists, the lights of the police station chief’s office were switched off. Police officials said they were verifying the number of attackers and their whereabouts. According to preliminary reports, the terrorists entered the building from the second entry gate. At the same time, the police officer surrounded by terrorists sent a message to fellow officers that more than 10 attackers were divided into groups in the police chief’s office. The assailants fired at the police party using heavy weapons from the back passage of the Karachi Police Office (KOP). Terrorists sat down at different locations, throwing grenades, firing from inside. Earlier too, the terrorists had attacked the Mianwali police station.

The police headquarters has been surrounded by heavy contingents of police and rangers. A rescue worker was injured in the exchange of fire between the terrorists and the police and two terrorists have also been killed. The rescue worker was admitted to Jinnah Hospital. The injured rescue worker has been identified as 25-year-old Sajid, an Edhi volunteer. Defense sources said that Sajid was allegedly hit by two bullets. At the same time, emergency has been imposed in Jinnah Hospital Karachi. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the attack on the Karachi police chief’s office. Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh province, directed Deputy Inspectors General (DIG) to send teams to the KOP and arrest the attackers. He has sought reports from the concerned officer at frequent intervals.
