Pakistan CTD arrested 11 suspects terrorists of ISIS Al-Qaeda TTP from different parts of Punjab Province


Pakistan Terrorist Conspiracy: Eleven suspected terrorists of ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have been arrested from different parts of Pakistan’s Punjab province. Police gave this information on Saturday (January 27) and claimed that they have foiled a major terrorist conspiracy.

These terrorists also include Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief commander Muhammad Ijaz, who had received terrorism training in Afghanistan. He was caught from Bahawalpur district of Punjab, about 400 kilometers from Lahore.

Terrorists had hatched a conspiracy to cause sabotage in the entire province.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police said that the terrorists had planned to carry out sabotage in the entire province by targeting important establishments. In a statement, he said that Punjab Police has foiled a ‘major terrorist conspiracy’ by arresting these 11 suspected terrorists.

11 suspected terrorists arrested with banned material

According to the department, it conducted 135 intelligence operations in various districts of the province this week to effectively deal with any untoward incident of terrorism. During this period, 135 suspected persons were interrogated and 11 suspected terrorists were arrested with weapons, explosives and other prohibited materials.

CTD made arrests from these cities

According to the Anti-Terrorism Department, the arrested terrorists are from Daesh (ISIS), Al-Qaeda and TTP. These 11 suspected terrorists were arrested from Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Jhelum, Lahore, Narwal, Jhang, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala cities.

10 cases registered against terrorists

The police registered 10 cases against the terrorists and sent them to an undisclosed location for questioning. Explosive material, an explosive jacket, two IEDs, 11 detonators, banned literature and cash have been recovered from the terrorists.
