What did the Government of Pakistan say?
On the decision of sending its team to India for the World Cup, the Government of Pakistan said that we have always kept sports and politics separate. We do not want our political relations with India to affect the game. Also said that our decision is responsible and positive, while India is firm on its obstinate attitude. India should have come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup, but did not do so. However, the Pakistani government expressed concern in view of the security arrangements for its players in India.

Along with this, we also talked to the Indian concerned authority on this issue. But we expect that the Pakistan cricket team will get full security in India. Significantly, the World Cup 2023 is to be organized on Indian soil. The first match of this tournament will be played on 5 October. While the final match will be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. At the same time, the teams of India and Pakistan will be face to face at the Narendra Modi Stadium on 14 November.
